Matse Wisdom…is a work that talks about the integration of an ancestral Amazonian culture hit hard by the indifference and forgetfulness of the government in the past…the Matses were an isolated tribe that, by their own decision, distanced themselves from social integration. …which is why they were very mistreated and abused by the government and people linked to forestry extraction…to such an extent that they were almost exterminated during the time of the rubber boom.
Very warriors in their tradition, they now face a war of social inclusion…and they do it in the wisest way…sharing their experiences and uses with the master plants…KAMBO is their specialty…they make it their integration very slowly…since they have a lot of information that they share with us. Matse wisdom is a visionary symbolism that makes us see that we all have something to offer and traditions to respect…they are all very important for the culture of our people. The jaguar that emerges from the forest symbolizes the strength of the native peoples…the great snake that comes out of the forest shows us its powerful cosmovisionary and iconographic side…it is the ancestral vibe, that energy of their traditions that must be carefully respected.
