Wire-tailed Manakin
The Wire-tailed Manakin is a very striking species that lives in gallery forests and secondary forests, always close to bodies of water.
The males form leks (group of males that compete for mating with females), where they perform their displays and dance in very striking ways.
This painting shows us the abundance of life that occurs in the undergrowth(sotobosque)… the bird’s natural habitat.
